A white police officer in Michigan who says he was taunted by fellow officers when he told them that he was part black will receive a $65,000 settlement, his attorney said. Sgt. Cleon Brown, a 19-year veteran with the police department in Hastings, Michigan, said a series of taunts began in 2016 when he took a genetic test through Ancestry.com and learned that he was 18% African.

Seeking actual, general and exemplary damages, Simms filed suit against UH on Aug. 15 in Harris County District Court.

H-E-B to Test Self-Driving Vehicle for Delivery Services in San Antonio
H-E-B announced plans to launch an Autonomous Delivery Vehicle (ADV) pilot program in San Antonio later this year. Investor Wants Dollar Tree to Sell Stuff for More Than $1
A dollar doesn’t buy as much as it did 30 years ago. That’s why one activist investor thinks it’s time for Dollar Tree to raise its prices. Jeffrey Smith, CEO of Starboard Value, a hedge fund, wrote to Dollar Tree CEO Gary Philbin Monday to disclose that his fund had taken a 1.7% stake in the bargain retailer. Texas Legislative Black Caucus Scholarship
