Houston City Council Member Dave Martin Schedules Kingwood CIP Town Hall Meeting
Houston City Council Member Dave Martin will host a capital improvement project (CIP) and town hall meeting on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Kingwood Community Center located at 4102 Rustic Woods Drive. Residents are invited to hear from city and community representatives about ongoing capital improvement projects, local issues and community news related to the Kingwood area of District E.

Family Houston Young Professionals Host First Happy Hour
Family Houston’s Young Professionals Board of Directors recently hosted their first happy hour at Fuego’s Saloon. The event brought in over 40 attendees where guests were able to mingle with the Young Professionals Board, staff, and Family Houston’s very own Board of Directors. The event was sponsored by Verisei Consulting and $1,176 was raised throughout the night. Thank you to everyone who came out and made the event a success!

The Houston Independent School District is aware of an error regarding the name of a District VII Board of Education candidate on the upcoming November 2, 2021, election ballot. Mr. Lee Macerlaen Walker's application was filed in the Office of Board Services on Monday, August 16, 2021, and he was notified of its acceptance via certified letter on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. Mr. Walker's legal name is Lee Walker, but he asked to be identified as Mac Walker on the ballot.
