Early Voting for the May 4, 2019 Joint Election Begins Monday
Early Voting for the May 4, 2019 Joint Election starts Monday, April 22 and ends on Tuesday, April 30. During that period, Harris County voters may vote at any of the 25 Early Voting locations designated throughout the county. Polls will be open from 7 am to 7 pm, except for Sunday, April 28, when polls are open from 1 pm to 6 pm. Ballot by mail applicants must submit their applications by April 23.

Alert #3: METRO Limiting Afternoon/Evening Service Due to Winter Storm
METRO will be curtailing local bus route service this afternoon as officials continue to advise everyone to stay off the roads due to dangerous, icy conditions. Beginning at 2 p.m. today, frequent routes will run every 30 minutes. Other routes will run approximately every hour. METRORail is also experiencing delays as a result of the winter storm. There are several bus shuttles on portions of the Green and Purple Lines.

Due to uncertain road conditions, it is still possible METROLift will not be able to reach certain areas to pick up patrons. Expect some delays as drivers exercise extreme caution. Fans who chose METRORail to get to the Astros World Series Parade set a new record for single day ridership. The agency tallied 395,000 boardings on Friday, Nov. 3. METRORail's Red, Green and Purple Lines had a combined 125,000 boardings. That exceeds the previous record set in February the day before Super Bowl LI by 16,000. Meanwhile boardings on local bus and Park & Ride combined were 270,000.
