There's plenty of big-name talent in "Boy Erased," including the Australian triumvirate of Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe and director-writer-co-star Joel Edgerton. The film, however -- based on Garrard Conley's memoir about his experience with gay-conversion therapy -- largely belongs to Lucas Hedges, in a movie that doesn't oversell its message in exposing the damage such intolerance can inflict.

'House of Cards' tries making the best of a bad hand
"House of Cards" and "Roseanne" don't have much in common, but their new seasons both faced an unenviable situation -- trying to forge ahead without the central character, whose departure was triggered by off-screen controversy. Dealt that bad hand, the "Cards" writers have responded with a truncated final season -- one that elevates Robin Wright's role her new Commander in Chief status, while still providing a window into the world of bare-knuckled political brawling.

I Told You So: Houston Defeats the Dolphins to Extend Winning Streak to Five-Games
Have you ever heard that saying that goes, “You should always have some form of humility?” Well, that doesn’t apply to me. When I am right I love to scream it to the mountain top that I am, but I am not afraid to admit when I am wrong. Well, in this case I remember the day and the time I predicted the future like Nostradamus. It was Monday, September 24, 2018. I was doing my daily sports radio show (Sportz Talk with Big Sarge M-F 3-5pm on 1140am/92.3fm KYOK) talking about how the Texans had lost their third game in a row by a combined 15 points.

Pharrell Williams isn't too happy with President Donald Trump. In a cease and desist letter sent Monday, Williams' attorney Howard King called on the President to stop playing the hitmaker's song "Happy" during events. The song was played at a rally over the weekend just hours after a gunman killed 11 people at a Pittsburgh synagogue. "On the day of the mass murder of 11 human beings at the hands of a deranged 'nationalist,' you played his song 'Happy' to a crowd at a political event in Indiana," King wrote in the letter. "There was nothing 'happy' about the tragedy inflicted upon our country on Saturday and no permission was granted for your use of this song for this purpose." King claims the use of "Happy" without consent constitutes both copyright and trademark infringement.
