Today, beginning at 4:45 p.m., the Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans’ (AAMA) Early Childhood Center will host its annual Christmas in the East End holiday event at 6001 Gulf Freeway, Houston, Texas 77023. Families served by the AAMA Early Childhood Center will take part in festive holiday activities, a Gingerbread House-themed experience, and receive holiday gifts from the longstanding Houston-based nonprofit organization.

Texas Southern University’s Center for Justice Research has received a $351,000 grant from the Walmart Foundation through the Walmart.org Center for Racial Equity to form the HBCU Criminal Justice Research Hub.
