...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM EST EARLY
THIS MORNING...
* LOCATION...Salisbury to Cape Ann including the Plum Island
area and Hull to Plymouth, including Scituate, Marshfield, and
Duxbury.
* TIDAL DEPARTURE...2.5 to 3 feet of storm surge.
* TIMING...High tide through about 5 AM. This is the only high
tide cycle of concern for this storm.
* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Minor to moderate coastal flooding is
likely. An additional 1 to 2 feet of inundation may occur in
low lying areas, especially where sea walls or dunes may have
been compromised. Remaining trapped flood waters from the last
storm will persist through this event. Although the
astronomical high tide is relatively low, large breakers will
cause some overwash along a vulnerable shoreline.
* SHORELINE IMPACTS...Erosion will occur from high surf breaking
onshore. The impact is anticipated to be higher than normally
expected with this scale of an event due to vulnerabilities
from the last storm.
