In Houston, even the airports know how to throw a delicious party! This November, Houston Airports invites food lovers to trade boarding passes for tasting plates as its inaugural Flavor Fest 2026 transforms two of the city's aviation gateways into community-centered culinary celebrations.
The slogan says it best: "Big flavors. No flight required." And for once, your next airport adventure won't involve packing a suitcase, checking a bag or sprinting to Gate B12. Just bring your appetite!
The festivities begin Tuesday, November 10, at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., before heading north to George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) on Tuesday, November 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Both celebrations take place before security, welcoming ticket-holding guests whether they're traveling or staying right here in Houston.
A First-Class Culinary Experience — Without the Airfare
For just $30 per person, guests can sample small plates from participating airport restaurants, enjoy beverages and live entertainment, take home a commemorative gift and receive validated event parking.
A spirited chef competition will spotlight airport culinary talent, while the People's Choice vote lets guests decide which bite deserves bragging rights. Photo opportunities and retail partner activities add even more excitement.
At Hobby, the menu promises a Texas-sized welcome. Expect pulled pork sliders from Killen's BBQ, crawfish étouffée from Landry's Seafood, inventive tacos from Velvet Taco and poke nachos from Yard House. Common Bond, The Rustic, The Spot and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory are also participating, alongside airport retail partners.
One week later, Bush Airport brings its own flavor-filled lineup, including brisket from Q-Bar Texas BBQ, dumplings from Little Purse Dumpling Den, Mexican specialties from Cadillac Mexican Kitchen and crab tostadas from The Annie. El Tiempo Cantina, El Premio and other airport favorites round out the experience.
Great Food, Greater Purpose
The heart of Flavor Fest extends beyond the table.
Event proceeds benefit Wings of Compassion–Houston Airports, a nonprofit supporting airport employees and members of the aviation community experiencing hardship.
