A New SpaceX Rocket Exhibit Opens at Space Center Houston
The Falcon has landed. A flown SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket exhibit is open at Space Center Houston. The flown Falcon 9 first stage booster set outside Space Center Houston offers an intimate look at a reusable rocket used to further space exploration and America’s commercial space industry. Its next mission is underway to provide an immersive learning experience as a commercial space exhibit at Space Center Houston.

Nationally Recognized Artists to Unveil Newly Created "Turtle Soup" Mural in East End Houston
A 260-foot long concrete wall on JW Peavy Drive has been transformed by a colorful mural, “Turtle Soup,” recently commissioned by the Greater East End Management District (GEEMD). The mural was painted by world-renowned graffiti artist Pilot FX (Adam Socie) with UP Art Studio. The initial design was created by local East End artist, “Magnolia Grown” Jesse Rodriguez. The GEEMD's beautification efforts have received recognition from Keep Houston Beautiful as well as being awarded the 2017 Mayor’s Proud Partner Award.

Houston Community College Chancellor Cesar Maldonado, Ph.D., and City of Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner met at HCC’s Northeast College today to sign a three-year agreement for HCC to train Houston firefighters in emergency medical services.
