The American Red Cross Texas Gulf Coast region is helping more than 65 people recover after an apartment fire yesterday at the Stonehave Apartments near the Galleria. Volunteers from the Houston chapter of the Red Cross were on scene last night meeting with families and providing assistance to meet their immediate needs.

Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson - who made NASA history by helping with the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit. All three women are members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
