H-E-B Quest for Texas Best Houston Finalists First Taste
Houston Style Magazine Managing Editor Jo-Carolyn Goode was on hand at H-E-B's Private Media Preview to get a first taste of the products from the eight Houston-area food entrepreneurs who made the top 25 finalists of this year’s Quest for Texas Best statewide food competition. Out of 560 applicants from across the state, the top 25 finalists have moved to the next judging round and one step closer for cash prizes and being sold on H-E-B shelves. Additional details are attached for the top 25 finalists.

As Houston’s housing market booms, a nonprofit is looking for ways to keep homes affordable
Houston has become a less-friendly environment for homebuyers in recent years. After a month of decreased sales volume halted a 13-month run of positive growth in Houston’s housing market, sales rose again in August: The median sales price for a single-family home rose 15.2% year-over-year, according to the Houston Association of Realtors.
