Bayou City Art Festival Downtown Announces 2018 Houston Nonprofit Beneficiaries

A portion of the proceeds from the weekend outdoor fine art festival will benefit six local charities

The 2018 Bayou City Art Festival Downtown, produced by the Art Colony Association, Inc. (ACA), has selected six local nonprofits that will benefit from a portion of the proceeds of the event. The weekend celebration will be held Saturday-Sunday, October 13-14, 2018, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and will spotlight 300 artists from around the country representing 19 different disciplines in Downtown Houston.

Downtown District announces 2019 Heartmade Harvest Market lineup

Free outdoor event at Main Street Square to feature more than 70 regional artists

On Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Houston Downtown Management District (Downtown District) partners with Tracy Carlson Photography and Crush Design Co. to present the annual Heartmade Harvest Market at Main Street Square, located at Main and McKinney in the heart of Downtown Houston. The event is free to attend, and all booth fees benefit Artists for Artists, a Houston-based organization that offers assistance to local artists experiencing career-threatening emergencies.

2022 Comcast Agent of Change - Lucy Bremond

Lucy grew up knowing the importance and responsibility of helping others in her community. She volunteers with several Houston area organizations — one of which is The Blue Triangle. The organization’s mission is to provide a safe environment for children, youth, and adults to meet, learn and recreate. When the Blue Triangle building, which is a Texas historical landmark and Houston’s oldest community centers, was damaged by Hurricane Harvey, Lucy was instrumental in making sure it was renovated and preserved so that future generations in the Third Ward can thrive.
