Texans Defense Restores Order In 45-14 Victory to Advance to the AFC Divisional Round

Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans and defensive coordinator Matt Burke had repeatedly watched the Week 16 tape and knew what the Cleveland Browns offense had done to them in the 36-22 blowout game. He had a sideline view of veteran quarterback Joe Flacco hitting wide receiver Amari Cooper in stride for 53 yards on the first play from scrimmage, and they continued to play catch for the rest of the game.

Houston Symphony Extends Cancelations

In response to recent Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations, the Houston Symphony announced that it is extending its concert cancelations, canceling all remaining concerts and community activities through May 10, 2020 in order to protect the health of audiences, orchestra and chorus members, and staff.

The Houston Museum of African American Culture (HMAAC) is thrilled to introduce the esteemed guest jurors for the 2024 Bert Long, Jr. Prize: Daisha Board and Phillip A. Townsend. Together with Christopher Blay, Chief Curator at HMAAC, Board and Townsend will have the honor of selecting the recipient of the 2024 Bert Long, Jr. Prize. This prestigious award, established in memory of the late Bert Long Jr., celebrates his enduring artistic legacy and contributions to the Houston art scene. The winner of the prize will receive a $3,000 cash award and a solo exhibition in the Bert Long Jr. Gallery at HMAAC, with the grand announcement scheduled for April 12, 2024, at HMAAC.
