Anthony Collier has been announced as a recipient of the Executive Leadership Council’s (ELC) 2017 Alvaro L. Martins Scholarship. Collier, a senior honors student from Manor, Texas, has a double major in History and Political Science. ELC is the preeminent member organization for the development of global black leaders. Its scholarship programs build a pipeline of black corporate talent by supporting the academic achievement and development of black undergraduate and graduate students.

Support the Best Lemon Bars in Houston
I love food gifts and a few months ago a family friend of ours gave us a pastry gift. The gift was a lemon bar. I was initially intrigued by lemon because lemon is one of those flavors that can be good or bad. I was also intrigued because it wasn't a cake. I took a bite into this lemon bar and I was transformed into bliss. From texture to taste to presentation, this lemon bar was pure perfection. I immediately needed to know who made this. That is the start of my relationship with Chef Heather Davis, owner of Chic Sweets Fine Desserts and curator of the Luscious Lemon Bar!

Former TSU Regent Selected to Serve as Interim Dean of Thurgood Marshall School of Law
Texas Southern University has announced that former Texas Southern University Regent Gary Bledsoe will assume the role of interim dean at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Bledsoe will lead the law school through its American Bar Association compliance requirements. Bledsoe will assume his new position November 1.
