Surprise Squad Pampers New Caney Beauty Queen Overcoming Adversity
Esmeralda Tristan has endured more than most teenagers her age, yet she continues to strut through life and adversities with positivity. The 17-year-old from New Caney was enjoying the day at an ATV park with friends on April 15th when they were hit by another ATV. One of Tristan’s friends was pinned under the vehicle while another died. Tristan lost her right hand and suffered a neck fracture.

Wells Fargo Mobile Response Unit Arrives in Houston
In response to Hurricane Harvey, Wells Fargo will deploy its Mobile Response Unit (MRU) to the Wells Fargo Bank at 4010 S. Braeswood Blvd. from Monday, Sept. 25 through Saturday, Oct. 7 to assist Houston-area customers. A new "Hold" mode makes it possible to save all-electric operation for times when it's most efficient to do so. A new Low Emissions package grants the Volt access to HOV lanes in California and New York. New options include a center rear armrest and forward collision and lane departure warning systems. In some ways, it's actually better than an electric car. The Volt belongs to a new class of environmentally-friendly models known as plug-in hybrids. In simple terms, a plug-in hybrid runs on pure electric power for a given distance, then switches over to a gasoline-electric powertrain similar to that of regular hybrids. Mad Max: Fury Road Trailer
"My world is fire and blood." After the roar of a car engine, these are the words used to re-introduce us to the road warrior known as Max (played in a new film by the vicious Tom Hardy). A new Mad Max: Fury Road clip just dropped. "Everybody’s gone out of their mind." Yes, it certainly looks that way as we get out first return trip to George Miller’s post-apocalyptic, road-rage-driven universe last seen in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. The faces might be different – with Tom Hardy subbing in for a much older Mel Gibson at this point – but the physicality and the muscle-car madness that has made the Road Warrior series so memorable seem to be dialed up to extreme levels. More than anything, though, this trailer for Mad Max: Fury Road makes the long-anticipated sequel look strangely beautiful. It’s almost as if George Miller pulls some of the visual wizardry he learned on the animated Happy Feet movies over to the normally bleached-out world of the Road Warrior, injecting the bone-crunching vehicle scenes with an array of wild colors that only enhance the excitement.

The 2013 Chevrolet Equinox receives an all-new V6 engine option, offering more power with equal fuel economy compared with the V6 it replaces. The four-cylinder model remains unchanged, and it still retains one of the best fuel economy figures in the class. V6 models also receive some suspension updates for 2013, and test drivers say the changes give the Equinox a more buttoned-down feel on the road. One of the highlights of the Equinox is its cabin, which is spacious, comfortable and well-assembled. While the five-seat Equinox doesn't have the largest cargo area in the class, they appreciate the flexibility of the sliding second row, which can be moved forward to accommodate more cargo or back to make taller passengers more comfortable.
