Astros and A’s postpone game on Jackie Robinson Day to protest social injustice

On Friday, Major League Baseball teams celebrated former Negro League and Major League player Jackie Robinson who broke the color barrier in the MLB by becoming the first African American to play in the modern era in 1947. Robinson played during a time where the negro was looked down upon for the color of their skin. Many believe that the negro players should stay in the league they were given and leave the Major Leagues to the white players.

Help Is On The Way

Now I don’t know how spiritual Rockets Head Coach Stephen Silas is, but if I have to take an educated guess, I will say that he has done some praying in his alone time or maybe even on the bench during this current 18-game losing streak which is also a franchise record.

It’s Really Simple: “Win or Go Home”

Rockets take on the Thunder in Game 7 with a lot to lose on the line

For Houston, this is more than just a Game 7. Their future is on the line if their season ends on Wednesday night to the Oklahoma City Thunder in Orlando. So many questions will have to be answered:

Texans Wrap Up OTA’s And Make A Very Good Impression On Their New Head Coach

As the Houston Texans are wrapping up their final week of voluntary OTA’s, a couple of former players were out in the early morning Texas heat to observe the different drills the team was going through. One player who stood out from the moment he hit the sidelines was 2022 NFL Hall of Fame finalist Andre Johnson who played for the Texans for 12 out of the 14 years he was in the league.

Jose Altuve Clutch Hitting Helps The Astros Tie The World Series At One Apiece

Most Houstonians will tell you that if you don’t like the weather, wait about 30 minutes, and it will change. Major League Baseball officials got a real scare on Wednesday as the city was under a tornado watch in the early morning hours. That would threaten the playing conditions they had set with the roof of Minute Maid Park scheduled to be open.

No Days Off For Rockets Rookie Daishen Nix

As the media walked into the end of the Houston Rockets morning shootaround at American Airlines Arena, two players were locked into a fierce but friendly trash-talking three-point shooting competition. Every shot that went up had words that followed the ball towards the basket.

America’s Team: Team Fighting Cancer Wins Inaugural Championship

Houston – Do you remember when you were younger playing a game of tag at school? And there were always those couple of kids you just didn’t run after because they were too fast to catch. That is what over 6,500 fans in attendance got a chance to witness at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, Texas. The American Flag Football Championship was played in front of a crowd that included Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, Texans defensive back Tyrann Mathieu, former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, and a host of other current and former NFL players who perused up and down the sidelines during the game. Yes, they were all pretty fast to catch.

Summer Kickoff: Carnival Cruise Line and Houston Texans Partner for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston

The Houston Texans are big and burly on the gridiron as they dish out fierce hits and mean mugs but get them around a group of kids and that tough exterior just melts away. With smiles spread wide across their face it was hard to tell who was having the better time at the first ever summer kickoff celebration of the Carnival Cruise Line and Houston Texans at the Boys & Girls Club of Houston.

When Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud talks about overcoming adversity on the football field, he always mentions the coaches who have helped him along his journey of becoming an NFL quarterback.

“Run With Caution”

“I told him (Tucker) after the game that ‘You saved the game,’” said Astros manager Dusty Baker. “A lot of time people think that a game is saved in the ninth inning, but that was a game saver at that time. It was on the money and a good tag. Tucker has been playing lights out.”

In the Blink of An Eye

Houston Astros go on a 12- game-winning streak to set up for a great season

When I was in school, we learned what a reflex blink was. It occurs in response to an external stimulus when objects appear rapidly in front of the eye. Older individuals use to say, “In the blink of an eye, your whole life can change.” Well, if you have blinked your eyes in the last two weeks, and I know you have because it’s an involuntary reflex, you can’t help but to notice how hot your World Champion Houston Astros have gotten. The Astros went on a 12-game winning streak (ended in a 2-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays earlier in the week) to remind the rest of Major League baseball that last year was not a fluke.

Altuve’s Birthday Gift To Himself Silences Yankees Stadium

I am pretty sure that Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve will enjoy all the gifts he received for his 31st birthday, but none will be as gratifying as the one he gave himself in the top of the eighth inning at Yankee Stadium on Thursday.

Astros Welcomed Home By Sell-Out Crowd In Victory Over The Oakland A’s

“It was great seeing all the orange jersey’s out there,” Manager Dusty Baker said about the crowd. “It made a big difference, and I could see the positive energy it had on our team.”

Interview Questions

I was originally born in Waco, Texas to a teenage mom. It’s safe to say that we grew up together and we were best friends until she took her last breath on December 18, 2018. Her drive, will, and determination along with the daily guidance from my step-father (Fred) is what fuels me to be the person I am today. Also, my late wife Jamila Barefield who left this earth on September 5, 2017, due to complications with colon cancer is one of the voices I hear in my mind that says, “You can do whatever you set your mind to do.”I was originally born in Waco, Texas to a teenage mom. Repeat Performance

Javier dominates Diamondbacks to get his first Major League win

On Tuesday night the Houston Astros (6-4) defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks (3-8) by a score of 8-2. Some will look at the score and think it was a blowout victory by the Astros, but there was a lot of details and improvements by Houston that is starting to show. They are getting that three consecutive 100-plus win seasons glow about them again.

A Major League Winning Streak

Astros defeat the Mariners to win third game in a row

One of my favorite movies of all-times is Major League II, staring Omar Epps, Charlie Sheen, and James Gammon who played the manager of the Cleveland Indians.
