All-Star outfielder George Springer listed day-to-day with wrist strain
The Astros suffered a minor setback in Thursday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. All-Star center fielder George Springer had to leave the game after he suffered a right wrist strain in the bottom of the fifth inning. Texans hold joint practice with the Detroit Lions
The Houston Texans resumed training camp today, with a joint practice with the Detroit Lions who is in town early for their preseason matchup with the Texans on Saturday at NRG Stadium. With the fans looking on, the competition got a little heated at times with trash talking by both teams being heard by fans, but it was all in fun. Here are a couple of things I noticed from today’s practice.

The NNL was formed during the 1920s and was the first of the seven leagues formed for “Colored Players.” The “Negro Leagues” were established because black players were not allowed in MLB.
