In Derry, Louisiana, on a small tenant farm tended by his parents, Tony and Zarada, Andrew Moran was born in a modest house situated in a cotton field. Andrew spent his early years assisting his parents with the tasks associated with rural life: caring for livestock, hogs and chickens; and picking cotton, digging potatoes and pulling corn.
