Manhattan Theatre Club, Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) and the Young Vic Theatre, Kwame Kwei-Armah (Artistic Director) and Lucy Davies (Executive Director) are pleased to announce a final extension for the Broadway premiere of The Collaboration, by special arrangement with Eleanor Lloyd Productions, Anthology Theatre, Stanley Buchthal, and Denis O’Sullivan at MTC’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). The production will now play two additional weeks through Sunday, February 5, after opening to critical acclaim:

Black Leaders Urge Repeal of Gas and "Sin Taxes" to Level Playing Field for Minorities
Excise taxes should be repealed because they harm the poor disproportionately by requiring them to pay a higher portion of their incomes in taxes, say members of the Project 21 black leadership network. In its "Blueprint for a Better Deal for Black America," Project 21 calls for repealing both gasoline taxes and "sin taxes" on items such as alcohol, soda, tobacco, non-tobacco nicotine products and fatty foods. This, they say, will reduce the burden on those who are economically at risk.
