NFL running back Adrian Peterson and his wife Ashley have donated $50,000 through their foundation to pay for meals for students and families in the Houston Independent School District during closures required due to COVID-19.

After remaining closed for 13 weeks due to city-wide restrictions, locals and tourists will now be able to enjoy the traditional delicacies available at the Farmers Market on the award-winning Navigation Esplanade in East End Houston. Several Routes Detoured Friday for Parade
METRO is providing free rides Friday, Nov. 3 for all services to help ease traffic congestion in downtown Houston during the Houston Astros World Series Championship Parade. Fans are encouraged to use the buses and METRORail. There will be parking available along the rail corridor, Minute Maid Park Lot C and the NRG Stadium Orange Lot. Buffalo Bayou Partnership (BBP) is pleased to announce Estructuras Monumentales, a major exhibition of outdoor sculptures by 105-year-old artist Carmen Herrera (b. 1915, Havana, Cuba). Featuring four newly-created sculptures that were first envisioned nearly five decades ago, Estructuras Monumentales is Herrera’s first public art exhibition in Houston and only the second time that these large scale works have been presented globally. Organized in partnership with the New York City-based non-profit Public Art Fund, Estructuras Monumentales was first presented at Manhattan's City Hall Park in 2019.
