Turner Sworn In for Second Term
Sylvester Turner officially began his second term as mayor for the city of Houston when he, City Controller Chris Brown, and Houston City Council were sworn in on January 2, 2020, before a packed house at the Wortham Theater. Mayor Turner won the honor of continuing to lead Houston after defeating opponent Tony Buzbee in the run-off election.

This weekend, the Houston- and Northwest-Arkansas-based marketing and public relations agency, Market Street Consultants (Market Street Consulting LLC) was recognized by the Public Relations Society of America Houston Chapter (PRSA Houston) at its 37th annual Excalibur Awards for its team’s expertise and contributions to the public relations industry in the fourth-largest city in the United States.
