The lawsuit is filed under the Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) based on a public records request that FIRRP and LCR submitted more than one year ago. The case was filed in the federal court in Boston.

Fort Bend ISD and the Epicenter have entered into a five-year partnership to host high school graduations starting in 2024. The 2024 graduations will be celebrated on Thursday, May 23, Friday, May 24, and Saturday, May 25. Austin, Bush, Clements, Dulles, Elkins, Hightower, Kempner, Marshall, Ridge Point, Travis, and Willowridge High Schools will be scheduled across the three days of commencements. Today, a group of LGBTQ and civil rights groups -- including the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), Equality Texas, the ACLU of Texas, the Texas Freedom Network and the Transgender Education Network of Texas – delivered a list of signatures from more than 50,000 Texans who have taken action this year to oppose discriminatory anti-transgender legislation such as SB6, HB2899, SB3 and HB46 and other anti-LGBTQ bills considered by Texas lawmakers.
