– American Family Insurance announced today it is joining Target to co-sponsor YouTube Originals’ 'HBCU Homecoming 2020: Meet Me On The Yard,’ a star-studded, global livestream celebrating the traditional fall homecoming weekend at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) around the country. The livestream will raise funds for the United Negro College Fund who plan to split 50% with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, which will also receive donations from Target and American Family Insurance.

Future Of STEM Scholars Initiative Raises More Than $17 Million in Support of STEM Education at HBCUs
Today, leading organizations in the chemical and affiliated industries announced a significant milestone in the industry's collaborative diversity, equity and inclusion program, the Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI). African-American business owners in Philadelphia gathered last week to launch a discount card to encourage the community to spend their money at local Black-owned businesses, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.With an iBuyBlack card, which costs $10, shoppers receive discounts up to 15 percent at participating Black-owned businesses. About 80 companies currently participate in the program, which has the support of a wide coalition that includes local elected officials.

President Biden’s June 15 announcement of providing an additional $1.2 billion in aid to Ukraine is irresponsible. The United States should not contribute more assistance to Ukraine until NATO members contribute more, and until there is accountability firmly in place and it is clear that the alliance is fully supporting Ukrainian goals and requirements to bring Russia to negotiations to end its aggression in Ukraine. Just one month ago Congress approved a $40 billion aid package for Ukraine with little oversight over how these funds will be spent.
