Astros to host Winter Invitational at Minute Maid Park this weekend. Six-team, nine-game tournament features three Texas programs.
The Astros will host the ninth annual Houston Winter Invitational at Minute Maid Park this weekend (Jan. 29-31). The tournament will feature six NCAA Division II universities, squaring off in nine games across the three days.
Four Houston Astros Players Selected For 2021 MLB All-Star Game
Major League Baseball announced the 2021 All-Star Game reserves on Sunday and once again the hometown team will be well represented in Denver on Tuesday July 13, 2021. Carlos Correa (shortstop), Jose Altuve (second base), Ryan Pressly (reliever) and Michael Brantley (outfield) was selected to play for the American League.

Two-Hour Regional Morning News Show “Noticias Telemundo Texas” Will Air On Telemundo Owned Stations In Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, McAllen and El Paso
Telemundo Station Group, the media group that is home to 31 Telemundo owned stations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, today announced that “Noticias Telemundo Texas” - a new, two-hour weekday newscast will air across five Texas DMAs beginning September 26. The regional morning newscast will air Monday to Friday from 5am to 7am CT on Telemundo KXTX / Dallas Fort Worth, KTMD / Houston, KVDA / San Antonio, KTLM / Harlingen-McAllen and KTDO / El Paso. Telemundo’s hoyDía national morning show will air at 7am CT (instead of 6am CT) in the markets that will air the new morning newscast (check local listings). The anchor team and reporter roster for “Noticias Telemundo Texas” will be announced soon.

NBA Super Teams: The Beginning and The End
As I prepare myself to watch game three of the 2017 NBA Finals featuring the two best teams in the league, it got me to thinking about the NBA as a whole and why there are only two “Super Teams.” Which by the way get used to seeing the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors for at least the next 3 years (I will explain that shortly).
