The movement launched with the community fit walk #WALK30 on Saturday, January 7th, 2023 at Arthur Storey Park.

H-E-B Chairman Charles Butt donates $5 million for PVAMU Founders Scholarships

Charles H. Butt, Chairman of H-E-B, has donated $5 million to create scholarships for Prairie View A&M University students from public high schools in Texas. The $5 million gift will provide a permanent endowment to support students today and in the coming years. Statement from HISD Board of Education

HISD has received official notice that the Texas Education Agency intends to replace Houston ISD’s superintendent and elected trustees of the Board of Education with an appointed superintendent and board of managers in the next few months. The Board is reviewing this notice to determine next steps.
