Harris County Reports Record-Breaking Early Voting Numbers During First Week
Harris County Clerk Teneshia Hudspeth reports that voters have cast more than 54.4K in-person ballots during the first four days of Early Voting for the November 7 Joint General & Special Elections. More people are choosing to vote early compared to the most similar election in 2015, when only 36.3K voted in person during the same time.

Simon Thew is named Houston Ballet’s new Music Director
Houston Ballet has appointed current Associate Conductor Simon Thew as the company’s next Music Director and Chief Conductor, effective July 1, 2024. He will succeed longtime Music Director Ermanno Florio, who is stepping down at the end of the 2023-2024 season after 32 years in the role.

Families celebrate Thanksgiving as one of the few days of the year they are blessed to have so many loved ones under the same roof. Those less fortunate may spend Thanksgiving in homeless shelters or the cold. A few may receive a traditional Thanksgiving lunch, but many others will go hungry.
