This Black-Tie event will highlight and award members of Fort Bend’s Law Enforcement community in the categories of Rookie of the Year, Investigator of the Year, Deputy Dhaliwal Community Relations Officer of the Year, Supervisor of the Year, Medal of Valor, and Officer of the Year.

Houston Parks and Recreation Department's Brock Park to Reopen as Adventure Park

Park to become a multi-use facility focused on adventure sports.

The Houston Parks and Recreation Department (HPARD) will host the grand reopening of Brock Park on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from noon to 3 p.m. Brock Park is located at 8201 John Ralston, Houston, TX 77078 in northeast Houston. The new Brock Park has been reimagined as an adventure park, featuring amenities like a ropes course, Ninja Warrior course, a kayak/canoe launch, nature-based programming, and enhanced site security. The park is the first of its kind in the City of Houston.

Whitney Mercilus and the WithMerci Foundation have adopted Houston Independent School District’s Lamar Fleming Middle School Special Needs Department to launch a Life Skills program. Mercilus will hold a press conference on Tuesday, October 19th at 11 A.M. at Lamar Fleming Middle School (4910 Collingsworth | Houston, TX 77026). Mercilus will be joined by several WithMerci board members (NBA Legend Mario Elie, Original Texan Chester Pitts, HLSR Sheri Reed); Principal Bruce of Lamar Fleming Middle School; Yolanda Rodriguez, Assistant Superintendent; Rick Cruz, Deputy Superintendent and Alecia Bell, School Support Officer.
