HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Astros have set their 2017 Opening Day roster today, which includes 13 pitchers, 12 position players and two players on the 10-day Disabled List. The announcement was made by Astros General Manager Jeff Luhnow.

Earlier this week, the Astros announced that right-handed pitchers Collin McHugh (right shoulder tendinitis) and David Paulino (right arm inflammation) would begin the season on the DL, backdated to March 30.

The Astros will enter the 2017 season with two rookies on their active roster in infielder Yuli Gurriel and right-handed pitcher Jandel Gustave.

Six Astros players will make their debut on an active Opening Day roster tomorrow: infielder Alex Bregman, right-handed pitcher Chris Devenski, Gurriel, Gustave and right-handed pitchers Lance McCullers Jr. and Joe Musgrove.

The Astros will enter the 2017 season with 38 players on their 40-man roster.
