We should never risk the lives of seniors and children who are most at risk for health-related complications. The distribution of air conditioners will help to ensure that our residents remain cool during our sweltering summers.”
Congresswoman Jackson Lee has provided heat relief efforts for more than twenty years by reaching out to citizens in need of assistance and providing air conditioning units to local citizens through partnerships with great organizations. Congresswoman Jackson Lee is committed to ensure that Houstonians are safe and cool in one of the hottest cities during the summer season. She contends that the effects of the extreme temperatures on our elderly, the very young, and those suffering with chronic illnesses, cannot be ignored and an immediate response is required to help these citizens in these unbearable conditions.
