HOUSTON, TX-- The Houston Astros return home tomorrow to take on the Arizona Diamondbacks (August 16-17) and continue the homestand against the Oakland A’s (August 18-20) and Washington Nationals (August 22-24). With just 42 games remaining in the regular season, Houston leads the AL West Division by 11.5 games and the American League over the Boston Red Sox by 5.0 games. The Astros also lead the Majors in runs, hits, doubles, batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage and OPS, owning one of the most potent offenses in franchise and MLB history.

Wednesday, August 16 vs. Arizona Diamondbacks - 7:10 p.m.

Every Wednesday night is $1 Hot Dog Night presented by Nolan Ryan Beef. Fans can purchase an unlimited number of Nolan Ryan Beef hot dogs at $1 each while supplies last (limit of four per person per concession visit).

The Astros Foundation will be raffling off a brand new mPact XTV 750 Flexhauler, donated by Houston Area Texas Mahindra Dealers, with proceeds benefitting the Astros Foundation. Tickets will be sold at every remaining Astros home game through the end of the season. Fans can purchase raffle tickets on the main concourse behind the escalators near section 107. Tickets are one (1) for $20 or six (6) for $100. The winner will be announced at the annual Diamond Dreams Gala at Minute Maid Park on Friday, Jan. 19, 2018 (winner need not be present to win).

Prior to Wednesday’s 7:10 p.m. contest, HomeAid Houston, a 501(c)(3) charity in its 11th year of partnership with the Houston Astros, will present the key to the winner of their 2017 Project Playhouse on the field in a special pregame ceremony. The “All-American Playhouse” built by Darling Homes and Taylor Morrison was on display at Minute Maid Park earlier this season, as fans had the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win the playhouse. Over $106,000 was raised to build transitional housing for Houston’s homeless men, women and children.

Thursday, August 17 vs. Arizona Diamondbacks - 1:10 p.m.

Fans are invited to a Movie Night at Minute Maid Park featuring The Sandlot following the Thursday afternoon game vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks! Fans who attend the game on the 17th are encouraged to stay and move to the third base side of the main concourse, where seats will become general admission following the game. The movie will start approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the game and will be shown on El Grande. Fans can also purchase a VIP experience for Movie Night, which will give them access to the field to watch the movie, a picnic mat and unlimited beverages (excluding alcoholic) and popcorn. Legends Weekend presented by Houston Methodist kicks off on Friday, August 18 with a special ’97 Astros Hat giveaway for 10,000 fans, presented by Houston Methodist. Legends Weekend presented by Houston Methodist continues on Saturday with the Triple Bobblehead featuring Biggio, Bagwell and Hampton giveaway, presented by Houston Methodist, for 10,000 fans entering the ballpark. The bobblehead commemorates the iconic moment when the 1997 team clinched the NL Central Division.

Fans also had the opportunity to claim a voucher for an Astros Legends autograph session, which is now sold-out, taking place pregame from 4:30-5:30 p.m. on the upper concourse. Astros Legends expected to participate include, but are not limited to, Larry Dierker, Shane Reynolds, and Jimmy Wynn.

Saturday is also Turn Back the Clock Night! Astros and Athletics players will wear throwback 90’s jerseys and fans are encouraged to dress up.

The Houston Astros are hosting families from the Sunshine Kids for their second meet and greet of the season with Astros players and coaches. The meet and greet will be held in the press conference room following Astros batting practice.

On Sunday, the Houston Astros and children from Tia’s Hope/Shriners Hospital for Children (Houston) will be participating in Buses for Baseball. The program, coordinated through the Major League Baseball Players Trust, provides transportation, game tickets and personal greetings from Major Leaguers to children across the country. This season, the program will make 10 Major League ballpark visits and provide over 500 children with an unforgettable experience. At each game, players sign autographs, pose for photos and answer questions. The children also receive free souvenirs, food and beverages.
