HOUSTON – (Dec. 5, 2017) – During final exam days, Rice University students will have the chance to socialize and share furry snuggles with dogs and cats of various breeds Dec. 6-8 at the university’s Fondren Library, 6100 Main St.

The library will once again invite Houston pet therapy organization Faithful Paws to bring its most companionable canines and a few friendly felines to the first-floor reference collection area of Fondren from 5 to 9 p.m. Dec. 6 and Dec. 7 and 3 to 5 p.m. Dec. 8.

This is the sixth year Fondren Library has held therapy dog sessions to help students de-stress during final exams. “We find that our students do enjoy this during finals, and so do our staff,” said Kerry Keck, assistant university librarian.
