HOUSTON – H-E-B has finalized an agreement with Fidelis Realty Partners to develop a 95,000 sq. ft., two-story location in the northwest corner of Meyerland Plaza. The store will house a parking structure, BBVA Compass Bank and an elevator vestibule on the lower level, with exceptional shopping situated on the second floor which will be connected to neighboring JC Penney via sky bridge.
This store will replace the location at South Braeswood and Chimney Rock (19,000 sq. ft.) which closed after it flooded during Hurricane Harvey. “H-E-B is committed to Meyerland and stands by this community as it rebuilds from Hurricane Harvey’s devastating floods,” said Cyndy Garza Roberts, H-E-B Public Affairs, Houston. “We look forward to serving our Meyerland neighbors in a bigger and better way.”
Construction will begin in the first quarter of 2019 with completion scheduled for the following fall. The new, larger H-E-B will offer customers an unbeatable mix of freshness and convenience while maintaining H-E-B's hallmark low prices. “We will build a store that caters to the needs of the Meyerland community and we look forward to being a part of the neighborhood’s next chapter of growth,” added Garza Roberts.
At this time, H-E-B is committed to including the following amenities:
· Kosher Bakery
· Meal Simple Offering
· Sushi
· Cooking Connection
· Blooms
· Large Beer and Wine Department
