Birdman Insists Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter V" Is Dropping This Year

Last month, Birdman mentioned that Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V is "definitely coming out soon" -- a claim Wayne promptly scoffed at. In a new interview with Billboard, Birdman insisted that the album will be released in 2017.
"You will get it this year," he said. "Me and Wayne will be aight. I’mma make that work. That’s my son and I love him, and we’ll make it happen."
Mannie Fresh, who also participated in the interview, added that he would like to rework the songs he produced on the album.
"I think my songs should be revamped," Fresh said. "I don’t know what the other songs are but I don’t like the songs that I did because it took too long to come out."
