METRO bus, rail and HOV operations are coping with road closures caused by high water in many areas of the city including the southwest, neartown and downtown areas. Although service is operational riders are told to anticipate impacts with their afternoon trips. Please plan accordingly. The best option for service updates is available through sign up at METROAlerts on ridemetro.org.

Routes listed as affected this morning will likely be impacted throughout the day. Standing water and bayous require time to recede. METRO continues to work with all its customers, returning them to their original pick up points. METRO Operations is evaluating each route. As of now the following routes are NOT IN SERVICE:

4, 6, 9, 11, 14, 25, 27, 29, 30, 40, 41, 44, 49, 54, 56, 60, 63, 65, 85, 102, 151, 161, 202, 204, 209, 255, 261, 265, and the 292.

These routes will not be cleared until water has receded. METRO Police and Safety staff are working to maintain a secure transit system. Riders are cautioned that Next Bus Texting may show scheduled times that may not be accurate given our weather conditions.

Due to the severe weather, METRO has postponed today's public hearing on our state audit and scheduled METRO Board committee meetings. The hearing and committee meetings will be rescheduled for a later date and notification of the new dates and times will be provided shortly.

Please check METRO alerts and ridemetro.org for service updates.
