Cypress area residents will have a new reason to get fit with the opening of VillaSport Athletic Club and Spa. Having its grand opening this past Tuesday, July 25, the luxury family friend gym is the fifth location for the franchise and only the second in Texas. A sixth location is planned for San Jose, CA.

Don’t think of VillaSport as just a gym but as an experience the entire family can enjoy. The 190,000 square foot facility offers an array of amenities for fitness, relaxation and fun. Fitness buffs will love the two pool areas - one indoor and one outdoor, NBA-regulation basketball court, the more than 120 state-of-the-art cardio machines, free weights, functional and circuit equipment. The sprawling 14,600 square foot cardio and weight floor upstairs has machines with built in entertainment system where users can watch television and surf the internet. Monitors are placed throughout the gym so parents can keep an eye on their children while they work out. The club offers Cardio/Strength, Mind/Body, Group Cycle, Dance, Suspension Training, and Pilates Reformer classes. Villa Sport’s exercise studios opened with 150 complimentary classes per week. Adults can hideaway for some grown up fun in the adult only area that has a poolside cabana and grill, whirlpool, fire pit and more. And those who need to relax the tension away can take advantage of the many spa services such as massages, body treatments, facials, waxing, spray tanning, manicures, and pedicures. These amenities are open for singles, couples, and events.

Kids will have a blast at VillaKids, a 12,000 square feet area just for them. Villa Kids has an art studio, activity studio, multipurpose sports court, outdoor playground, and turf field. Villa Kids also has designed an enrichment based curriculum on child development for the benefit of their youngest members. There will be plenty of eyes to watch little ones as the kids’ club encompasses the largest staff out of the entire facility. Two hours of complimentary childcare is also offered.
