Jay Z Sued For Using Roc Nation Logo On MLB Merch
Style Magazine Newswire | 5/2/2017, 10 a.m.
It looks Like Jay Z is the latest victim of a new lawsuit. According to TMZ, Hov is being sued for putting his company’s (Roc Nation) logo on a bunch of Major League Baseball apparel.
TMZ obtained documents which reveal Hov no longer owns the Roc Nation logo itself. The company, Iconix Brand Group, reportedly purchased the logo from Hov for $204 million dollars, and now has complete control of where the logo is placed.
Iconix says they never approved Roc Nation to put their logo on the MLB merchandise (see gallery), and as a result Iconix isn’t just suing Jay Z, but they’re also going after MLB, Roc Nation, New Era, Lids and the San Francisco Giants.
The company is suing all of the companies for at least $10 million and other damages, but who knows what they'll end up getting. Jay Z has yet to comment on the subject matter, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted if he does.
