Entrepreneur and community activist Elaine Gracia is passionate about two things, empowering Hispanics with business competencies and expanding opportunities for Hispanics that in her opinion, “have been under represented at the bargaining table.” For nearly two years she served as Vice-Chairwoman of the National Hispanic Professional Organization (NHPO), Houston Chapter working to create new community initiatives and programs for NHPO members.  Now as Chairwoman of NHPO, Houston, she is scaling to another level that vision she had with two signature events she created, “Hispanos Unidos” (United Hispanics) and the next generation of a Women’s Conference branded as, “Beautiful Beyond.” Hispanos Unidos is an initiative that brings together a multi-cultural coalition together of Latin American Consulates and key Houston leaders under one roof to interact, collaborate and expand business opportunities. This mega event will be held May 10 at Brady’s Landing at 6 p.m. on the Houston Ship Channel.
