Trey Songz, Ray J Among Those To Play In Essence Festival Charity Basketball Game

For the first time ever, the popular Essence Festival will be hosting a charity celebrity basketball game when the annual event makes its return to New Orleans on June 29th. The entire festival goes until July 2nd.
Trey Songz, Ray J, Trombone Shorty and Juvenile are among the celebrity players who will hit the court on the 29th with former pros Chris Jackson, Robert Pack, Caron Butler and Ben Gordon also participating in the game.
The charity event is partnering with Percy "Master P" Miller’s foundation Team Hope NOLA and represents an expansion of the Essence Festival’s Day of Service. Master P and his son Romeo will also play in the basketball game, along with names like Silkk the Shocker, Curren$y and Doug E. Fresh.
