Michael Strahan returned to Houston with his Good Morning America fam to show the recovery efforts in the city since Hurricane Harvey. Strahan is partnering with Rebuilding Together Houston to help them with their goal of restoring 1,000 damaged homes hit hard by Hurricane Harvey. He began his visit at the site of one Houston’s home that was being repaired. The overjoyed homeowner was happy just to have help in fixing her home then Houston’s certified guardian Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale surprised the homeowner with a house full of furniture. McIngvale also announced that he would host a free Thanksgiving lunch for all of Houston at his store, Gallery Furniture on I-45, complete with 2500 pounds of turkey and ham. On Strahan’s last visit to Houston, he showed the destruction at C. E. King High School. He revisited the school to show that repairs had started. The school recently received a $45,000 donation from Dick’s Sporting Store to help replace sports equipment damage during the floods.
