Art Colony Association Announces Bayou City Art Festival Downtown $5 Ticket Prices for First Responders

HOUSTON, September 18, 2017 - The Art Colony Association, Inc. (ACA), a non-profit producing Bayou City Art Festivals, is showing its appreciation for first responders by offering festival tickets for $5 to those that show their badge or ID at the gate. Bayou City Art Festival Downtown will be held Saturday & Sunday, October 14 - 15, 2017, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

"In the midst of Houston trying to recover from Hurricane Harvey, we want to give back to those who have been in the forefront throughout the storm," said Bridget Anderson, Executive Director of Art Colony Association. "As our community works towards recovering, we want Bayou City Art Festival to be a joyful escape for patrons to absorb beautiful art in the heart of Houston despite the devastating damage the storm left behind."

In addition to the special ticket price for first responders, ACA is offering free tickets to families that have been directly affected by the aftermath of the catastrophic storm. For the past 46 years, ACA has been dedicated to giving back to the community through its festivals and Bayou City Art Festival Downtown will provide financial support for its local non-profit partners to continue enriching the community in the coming months and years after Hurricane Harvey.

To spread hope and inspiration, Bayou City Art Festival, will transform the streets of Downtown into artistic avenues bursting with colors and culture. The sophisticated gallery will provide guests with the opportunity to see and purchase unique, custom art under the iconic Downton Houston skyline. The festival will spotlight over 300 artists from 19 disciplined and feature music, food trucks, beverages, entertainment, a Children's Creative Zone and much more.

Discounted tickets for Veterans and Seniors will be available at the gate. Also, discounted general admission tickets will be available for $10 at all Greater Houston area Randalls Grocery Stores starting Monday, September 25, 2017.
