AUSTIN - Governor Greg Abbott today attended the groundbreaking ceremony for Charles Schwab's new 70-acre campus in Westlake, Texas. The new campus is expected to create 1,200 jobs and is set to open in 2019. In his remarks during the ceremony, Governor Abbott expressed his gratitude for Charles Schwab's continued investment in Texas.
“Texas’ greatest strength and resource is its people, and that is why successful companies like Charles Schwab are investing here,” said Governor Abbott. “As we continue to recover from the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, I am encouraged by the resiliency of the Texas spirit, and this new facility is a representation of that spirit. I thank Charles Schwab for their continued commitment to the Lone Star State.”
The Westlake campus is the latest Schwab expansion in Texas, following the recent opening of their Austin campus in March.
