Three bakers were trapped in a Houston area bakery when the first rains of Hurricane Harvey began to fall. All the men were worried about the safety of their families so they decided to channel their energy into baking. The kitchen manager and the other two employees at the Mexican bakery named El Bolillo got busy with the 4,000 pounds of flour they had on hand. They baked day and night for two days straight. When the owner was finally able to get to the business to see the men’s work he was amazed. He then decided to donate the bread to feed victims of the hurricane. City officials picked up more than a thousand bakery items and distributed them to flood victims throughout the city.
