Bethune-Cookman University (B-CU) looks forward to welcoming the freshman class of 2022— an anticipated group of approximately 1,000 students. Classes begin Monday, August 20, 2018. Our new students represent every state in the U.S. and nearly 30 countries.

A slate of Welcome Week activities is planned to help students make a productive transition to the higher education environment. The events planned incorporate opportunities to learn school traditions, meet fellow students, get acquainted with faculty and staff, and occasions for students to learn their way around campus in a fun-filled way.

“Here at B-CU, we genuinely value the trust that students and families place in us to provide a world-class education in a safe and culturally-rich learning environment that makes room for all to explore their gifts, develop their talents and carry on the legacy of servant leadership left to us by our founder, Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune,” said Interim President Hubert Grimes.

In addition to challenging and rewarding academic experiences, this fall, a memorable Homecoming Week is planned. The annual Florida Classic weekend in Orlando, Florida is sure to be a full of excitement, and in no time, the University will celebrate December 2018 commencement.

“We foresee another successful academic year where our students will strive to become their very best and the entire B-CU family welcomes their arrival,” Grimes said.
