Mayor Turner will visit HISD's Yates High School

Mayor Turner will visit HISD's Jack Yates High School to meet with student leaders and administrators.The group will discuss campus safety and related student concerns. The Mayor will visit on Wednesday, December 5 at 2:30pm. The meeting at Yates HS follows the mayor's Nov. 27 visit to HISD's Lamar High School after a student wrote a letter expressing concerns about school safety at Lamar.

While at Yates, Mayor Turner will be joined by:

District D City Councilman Dwight Boykins

HISD Interim Superintendent Dr. Grenita Lathan

HISD Trustee Jolanda Jones

HPD Executive Police Chief Troy Finner

Department of Neighborhoods, Mayor's Anti-Gang Office representatives
