Urgent Fight to Save Health Clinic That Services Thousands of Low-Income Houstonians in 3rd Ward Region
The health care for thousands of vulnerable families including seniors and children is under assault, and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee is helping to lead the fight that can literally save lives.

HOUSTON, TX – Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee is FIGHTING to save Central Care Integrated Health Services (CCIHS), which operates six clinics that provide primary and preventive health care to close to a MILLION Houstonians in the 3rd Ward region. The clinics, which were recently denied federal funding and MAY be forced to close, are a vital lifeline to low-income clients including many who lack health insurance. The future of CCIHS will be determined during at EMERGENCY court hearing next Monday.
