HOUSTON, TX – Good Samaritan Foundation, with event chairs Allison and Geoff Leach, hosts the 30th annual Pearl Ball on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, at 7 p.m. at the River Oaks Country Club. Themed “Jabulani,” meaning “rejoice” in Zulu, this year’s African safari-themed event features live music by Empire 6.
Founded in 1951, Good Samaritan Foundation is dedicated to nurses and the nursing profession. The Pearl Ball, held each year since 1989, is the organization’s largest annual fundraiser. Proceeds from the event help maintain one of the state’s largest private scholarship programs for student nurses. The organization also provides grants to colleges of nursing for graduate research and faculty development; supports mentor programs designed to better prepare new nurses for the challenges of patient care; and recognizes and rewards nurses who exemplify the finest qualities of the profession at its annual Excellence in Nursing Luncheon.
Individual tickets are available starting at $750, and tables are available from $5,000. For more information about the gala or to make a reservation, please contact Melissa King, mking@gsftx.org.
