Alert #4: Dangerous Road Conditions Force Suspension of Evening METRO Bus Service

METRO is suspending all bus services beginning at 5:30 p.m. today until further notice due to dangerous road conditions. As ice accumulates on several area roadways, it is becoming more difficult to provide services. Safety is our top priority for passengers and employees, and we will resume services only when it is safe to do so.
Given the current weather conditions on the Northside, service along the following routes has already been suspended.
44 Acres Homes
85 Antoine/ Washington
86 FM 1960/ Imperial Valley
99 Ella/ FM 1960
Riders who use those routes should contact customer care at 713-635-4000 for alternative routing information or rides home.
METRORail service will continue to operate. However, riders should expect delays. METROLift continues to operate but only for trips that are absolutely necessary. Commuters be advised, HOV/ HOT lanes will remain closed through Wednesday morning. The METRO RideStore is closed until further notice.
Riders are asked to monitor METRO Twitter and Facebook pages for timely information regarding transit service. METRO also offers real-time information through its service alerts system.
