Cootsona recently authored “Mere Science and Christian Faith: Bridging the Divide with Emerging Adults.” In his talk, he will discuss the book, which he hopes will impact church congregations’ views of science.
“I perceive a resistance to mainstream science from the wider constituency of U.S. Protestant Christians, and for the sake of our country's future, we need to embrace STEM,” Cootsona said. “This book is part of my intention to offer education about science with a constituency that often resists some of its major findings.”
Media who want to schedule an interview with the panelists and/or moderators ahead of the event or want to RSVP should contact Amy McCaig, senior media relations specialist at Rice, at 713-348-6777 or amym@rice.edu.
