Governor Abbott Appoints University Student Regents And Student Representative To The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board

AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott has appointed 10 student regents to their respective universities for terms set to expire on May 31, 2019. The Governor also appointed a student representative to serve on the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board for a term set to expire on May 31, 2019.
Midwestern State University
Leia De La Garza of San Antonio is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Midwestern State University.
Stephen F. Austin State University
Kate Childress of Lumberton is pursuing a Master of Arts in student affairs and higher education from Stephen F. Austin State University. She received a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Texas A&M University System
Ervin Bryant of Spring is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in history with a minor in political science from Prairie View A&M University.
