Dr. Wendy Ellis, formally of WNBA’s Chicago Sky, brings 15 years of experience to Honey Shine, Inc.

(Black PR Wire) MIAMI, FL March 12,2018– After an intense and extensive search, Honey Shine, Inc. founder and CEO Tracy Wilson Mourning selected Dr. Wendy Ellis as Vice President of Operations and Executive Director. Dr. Ellis comes with more than 15 years of non-profit development and fundraising experience.

Prior to moving to Florida 2½ years ago from Chicago, Dr. Ellis served as Executive Director for the South Side YMCA on the South Side of Chicago, Assistant Director of Marketing in Athletics & Recreation at Northwestern University, Account Manager for (WNBA) Chicago Sky. She is the former Sponsorship and Business Manager for Miami Gardens, Office of Public Affairs and Parks and Recreation Department. As Honey Shine's Vice president of Operations and Executive Director, Dr. Ellis will oversee programs, operations, marketing, business development, and membership engagement. She is a graduate of Loras College and University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse and holds a Doctorate of Education from Olivet Nazarene University.

Returning Board members Matthew Beatty, Lydia Desnoyer, Marie McKenzie, Rebecca Ocariz, and Board Chair, Sabrina Gallo all expressed excitement for Honey Shine's direction under its new leadership.
