Houston Grand Opera Presents 2018-2019 Studio Showcase

The Houston Grand Opera Studio presents its annual Studio Showcase on December 9 and 10 in the Cullen Theater at the Wortham Theater Center.
The Showcase will feature fully staged operatic scenes, including excerpts from the 2018 – 19 season repertoire, along with selections from operas including Eugene Onegin, Semele, and Don Carlo. HGO Studio artists will perform in the original languages with projected English translations.
The Houston Grand Opera Studio is one of the most respected young artist programs in the country. For more than 40 years, it has served promising singers and pianist/coaches, providing a bridge between full-time training and full-fledged operatic careers. During a residency of up to three years, each performer receives customized training from an expert team while gaining invaluable performance experience at the highest level.
